Corsages and Cummerbunds

Whether your prom was one to remember or one to forget, St. Cecilia Young Adults invites you to a formal dance at Boston's Westin Copley Place that will make you think of yesteryears.

We're excited to be able to partner with The Paulist Center, St. Anthony Shrine, St. Paul's in Cambridge, and St. Columbkille in Brighton to promote this event, and we welcome young adults from any parish. It will be a great way for young Catholics in Boston to get to meet each other. Last year, there were 175 attendees and tickets sold out before the event.

The Fine Print

IDs are checked at the door; must be aged 21-40 to attend. Come solo or bring a partner; it's typically a good mix. Ticket prices will increase on February 21 to $40 because we are required to give our final number to the hotel at that time, so please plan accordingly. Tickets are non-refundable. Tickets must be purchased by 6pm on February 27 and are not available at the door.

Schedule of Events

Event opens - 8:00pm

A cash bar will be available, but sustantial food will not, so please eat a hearty dinner before you arrive.

Dancing - 8:30-11:30pm

Please wear formal attire as this is a black tie optional event. Break out your best dresses and suits. Recycled prom dresses and cummerbunds are highly encouraged.

Don't forget to "leave room for the holy spirit" as chaperones and principals will not be present to monitor.

After party entertainment - 11:30pm-1am

There's a nice space directly outside the dance floor that used to be a restaurant that we will be lounging in, and bartenders will still be available.

Logistics

Valet parking at the Westin is available for a discounted rate of $27. Please pick up a discount voucher at the event before retrieving your car. Some self-park garage options nearby are: 50 Dalton Street - $15, 116 Huntington Ave. - $12, and 126 Dartmouth Street - $8.

We would like to encourage all of you who will be drinking to coordinate a designated driver or alternate form of transportation for the evening. Let's keep it classy, people.
